What is Care for a curry?™
Care for a Curry?™. Do you care for a curry? Why would you care for a curry? It’s a simple phrase that sums up a lot of ideas…
Care for a Curry?™ is a brand new way of raising money for (and awareness about) dementia in Scotland. It’s about events. It’s about socialising. It’s about the great Scottish love affair with fiery foods from far-off lands. Most of all, though, it’s about helping people with dementia and their carers by supporting Alzheimer Scotland.
We want to get people together to enjoy a blether over a Balti, go on the ran-dan with a Rogan Josh or have a ceilidh with their Korma. You could have an intimate Pakora Party in your house, a night out with the lads to see who’s the Vindaloo Victor or get your workmates involved by having a ‘Tikka Tuesday’ in the canteen.
The Care for a Curry?™ website will be frequently updated with hints, tips and ideas about holding your own curry event to raise money for people with dementia and their carers across Scotland. Healthy curry recipes will be posted and we’re always on the lookout for new recipes, so please email us your own suggestions - careforacurry@alzscot.org.
Wander round the website and be sure to visit us regularly: we’ll be updating with news about our exciting launch events in May, adding more of your recipes and fundraising ideas and telling you all about the great Care for a Curry?™ events that people have been holding across Scotland.
